You will manage undertake commission disseminate and report on research and technical development for the National Research Infrastructure for Cultural Heritage (N-RICH) Prototype part of the UK-wide programme Towards a National Collection funded by UK Research and Innovation through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

Key Responsibilities of this role
Lead the process of writing procurement specifications for each of the N-RICH Prototype work packages
Contribute to the evaluation of tender bids for each of the N-RICH Prototype work packages
Analyse the outcomes of the N-RICH Prototype work packages and identify research gaps
Undertake high quality original research to fill identified gaps
Work with N-RICH Prototype partner institutions both individually and in structured workshops to secure test data and to record best practice
Lead on the liaison with other AHRC infrastructures and related international exemplars to identify areas of synergy and potential partnership
Synthesise both relevant current research and the technical developments within the N-RICH Prototype work packages at regular intervals and provide updates to the Programme Director
Liaise with AHRC to ensure compliance with HM Treasury Green Book business case requirements
Play a key role in working with the Programme Director on the final project report and recommendations
Contribute to the population and management of the project risk log stakeholder engagement and the communication of the programme

Essential:
Significant knowledge of technological and organisational challenges around computational research in cultural heritage as well as an understanding of how those challenges can be overcome to ensure access interoperability security and sustainability of online collections
Significant experience of undertaking and disseminating analytical research in the digital humanities field
Experience of working within or in partnership with the culture and/or heritage sectors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make complex information understood by non-specialists
A relevant Honours degree at SCQF level 10 or equivalent experience
