About us

No to Violence is Australias peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. We provide training sector development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Mens Referral Service providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. As a pro-feminist organisation women and children are at the centre of what we do by ending mens use of family violence families individuals and communities are safer.

About the role

Type: Fixed Term Part Time three (3) days per week for 9 months

Classification: SCHADS Award Level 6.1 plus Superannuation

Location: Flexible work from anywhere in Australia!

NTV is seeking an experienced and dynamic Conference Project Lead to shape and execute the 2026 NTV Conference. Working closely with the Project Steering Committee and Conference Reference Group as well as external professionals youll be at the heart of shaping a major event for Australias family violence sector. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategy manage partnerships and bring together diverse voices to create an impactful and inspiring program.

To achieve this you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end coordination of the 2026 NTV Conference Project
  • Curate a compelling conference program
  • Lead the development and implementation of a sponsorship and endorsement strategy
  • Develop a conference communications and marketing strategy
  • Proactively manage budget and project risks
  • Support and oversight of deliverables during and post event

About you

You will have:

  • Family violence sector experience and strong and proven sector relationships
  • Proven experience in event curation program design or conference management including ability to plan oversee and execute conference related scheduling logistics and coordination
  • Content creation and marketing ability to write clear concise and compelling session descriptions and speaker bios
  • Understanding of how to position the conference and the speakers to maximise interest and attendance
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with industry professionals speakers sponsors and attendees
  • Strong understanding of the family violence sector to ensure relevant and engaging content
  • A bachelors degree in Event Management Communications Marketing or a related field is highly desirable or relevant industry experience
