Overview
Our EVS Tech I is responsible for maintaining hospital facilities in a clean sanitary orderly and attractive condition. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients visitors and staff.
Hours of Shift:
10:30pm-7:00am
Weekends:
Every other

Qualifications
- Previous experience in institutional and/or commercial housekeeping is preferred.
- Familiarity with waxing and stripping floors is also preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Working Conditions:
- Must demonstrate the ability to read write and perform basic mathematical functions.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
- Physical demands include repetitive hand motions walking standing and reaching above the head.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases bloodborne pathogens and body fluids.
- Occasional exposure to varying temperatures (heat and cold) and humidity as well as biological hazards.
- Frequent exposure to chemicals dirt oil grease noise odors wet slippery floors and working independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning of all patient-use areas restrooms offices and engage in project cleaning as needed.
- Execute tasks such as scrubbing mopping polishing and using appropriate chemical mixtures.
- Interact professionally and courteously with patients the general public physicians hospital personnel and outside entities.
- Uphold Jacksonville Memorial Hospitals behavioral standards.
- Collaborate effectively and positively with team members.
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with co-workers and management.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be flexible with work schedules hours and assignments.
- Adhere to regular attendance and punctuality policies.
- Perform other related duties as required or requested.
