Job Description

Please note that this position is based in San Diego CA. Acadias hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average.

The Buyer supports and coordinates purchasing and procurement activities within the procurement operations area. This position is responsible for following the procurement processes and systems to support activities related to sourcing materials negotiating with suppliers managing inventory and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate procurement systems in NetSuite and Coupa
  • Work closely with other business partners including accounting/finance team legal & other stakeholders
  • Ensure Compliance to company guidelines SOX requirements and company policies
  • Assist Accounts payable on their monthly/quarterly closing activities
  • Acquire and maintain a technical understanding of the industry and procurement process.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or related field with two plus years experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered.
  • Experience in procurement including systems such as Coupa and NetSuite a plus.
  • MS Excel skill (required). Basic Coupa and NetSuite experience

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as MS Office proficiency
  • Strong knowledge of Procurement and Financial software (Coupa NetSuite)
  • Ability to solve problems and optimize purchasing processes
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to travel domestically on occasion

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular standing walking sitting and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach climb balance stoop kneel crouch and maintain visual verbal and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business needs.
