Job Description

This position is expected to work primarily within our Accounts Payable Department processing vendor invoices but may assist in other areas as needed.

An Administrative Technician provides administrative support to Managers Foremen Supervisors represented employees and Union officials.

Must be able to:

  • Maintain manual and electronic files.
  • Perform general office support functions.
  • Answer phones take messages.
  • Distribute mail.
  • Input data electronically.
  • Fax and photocopy.
  • Move/arrange furniture & office equipment.
  • Be responsible for record retention.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with distractions.
  • Multi-task and possess good people skills.

Required/Preferred Education/Training

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree in Administrative / Business field preferred.

Required/Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Access and typing skills of 80 WPM.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with accuracy.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated with a proven ability to work independently.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Accounts Payable or other related accounting/administrative experience preferred.
  • Must be capable of working in any type of environment including but not limited to offices warehouses outside and in manufacturing environments.
