Salary: 30000 - 33000 (dependent on experience)

Main Purpose of Job

The Post-16 Football Head Coach will play a pivotal role in developing overseeing and implementing the coaching framework and philosophy for the entire Post-16 programme. Additionally the post holder will lead our Elite Development squad for training fixtures analysis and coach education sessions. This role will include managing the other Post-16 coaches students and any associated project admin.

Responsibilities

  • Plan deliver and evaluate high-quality coaching sessions within our Post-16 Programme.
  • Develop relationships with participants parents and coaching staff.
  • Contribute to raising the profile and the perception of BFCCST in leading and developing Post-16 Football & Education.
  • Establish a relationship with local charter standard football clubs local and national governing bodies to explore new opportunities for development coaching / employment / pathways.
  • Keep up to date monitoring including registers VIEWS database risk assessments and any relevant reporting documents.
  • To access all quality assurance and staff training offered by the Trust during the term of employment.
  • To ensure all equipment is available and well maintained.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents concerns and actions taken.
  • To coach and mentor colleagues who are timetabled to contribute to the delivery of football curriculum.

                      The Selection Criteria Essential

                      • Applicants who do not hold a FA UEFA B equivalent qualification or higher qualification will not be considered at this time.
                      • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
                      • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
                      • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and relevant qualifications.
                      • Previous experience in coaching football at grassroots or academy level.

                      Desirable:

                      • Bachelors degree in Sports Coaching Sports management or a related field.
                      • Experience coaching players 16-19 years
                      • FA UEFA A (or equivalent)
                      • Full UK driving licence and transport via car
                      • D1 licence and able to drive a minibus
                      • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office) / IT skills

                      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young players.
                      • Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
