Job Description
Position Type: Traveler
Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
-
Prepare the CVOR for surgical procedures ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready
-
Scrub in and assist the surgical team during open-heart and vascular procedures
-
Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure
-
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon efficiently and accurately

Anticipate needs of the surgical team during procedures
-
Assist with room turnover and instrument sterilization post-procedure

Follow all infection control safety and CVOR protocols

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
-
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
-
BLS (AHA) certification required
-
Minimum 1 2 years of CVOR scrub experience preferred

Familiarity with cardiac bypass equipment and vascular instrumentation
-
Ability to work in high-pressure fast-paced environments
