Job Summary:
Key Skills and Competencies: Moderate understanding of the electrical and electro-mechanical
engineering discipline. High level of knowledge of electrical and
electro-mechanical components. Strong understanding of
sustainable design practices
Job Requirements:
Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Preferred Work Experience (years): 2-5 years work experience
Follows standard practices and procedures to learn about components subassemblies and processes used in the design of products. Reviews design approaches and works with senior Component Engineers to determine if components meet or exceed required product specifications and tolerances. Under the guidance of Senior Component Engineers analyzes component suppliers to ensure quality of component parts as well as supplier viability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-
Documents selection of components/subassemblies to deliver required performance and compliance specifications-May interact with other engineering disciplines to define component requirements and/or modify component selections.-Works under guidance of Sr Component Engineers to analyze designs to learn about optimal selection of components and/or subassemblies under direction of more experienced engineers.-Read design plans tolerances and specifications for products and machinery.-Observes and follows standard practice in recommending suppliers methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to manager.
