Job Description
Job Title: Machinist II
Client: Aerospace Industry
Duration: 6 Months (Temp to Hire)
Location: San Diego CA 92121
Shift: 2nd Shift Mon Fri 2:30 PM 11:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Operate manual lathes mills and VTLs for aerospace part production & repair
Follow traveller specs and machine settings for accuracy
Inspect finished parts to meet quality standards
Participate in training and skill development
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Manage time to meet production deadlines
Report to supervisors and follow instructions
Punctuality and reliability required
Overtime may be needed based on production needs
Qualifications:
4 years manual machining mandatory; CNC a plus
Experience with lathes mills and vertical turning lathes
Technical/vocational machining training or hands-on experience
High school diploma preferred
Strong attention to detail and technical instructions
English communication and reading skills
Aerospace experience preferred but not required
Strong attendance and work ethic
Skills:
Manual machining: lathes mills VTLs
Basic CNC knowledge (preferred not required)
Ability to read blueprints and traveller documents
Skilled in calipers micrometers gauges
Quality-focused with precision part production
Strong time management and task planning
