Job Title: Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer
Location: Sacramento CA (Hybrid)

Overview:
We are hiring a Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer for a long-term state government project based in California. The role involves supporting the migration from Microsoft-based legacy platforms to Snowflake modernizing data infrastructure using AWS Glue and implementing scalable data solutions.
Position: Contract 12 Months
Client: State Government Project (via Deloitte)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Migrate data from legacy Microsoft systems to Snowflake
Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue
Manage integrations between AWS S3 and Snowflake
Build REST APIs using JSON and C#
Contribute to database development and data security
Assist in legacy data conversions (Mainframe etc.)
Work with Docker Kubernetes or OpenShift for containerization
Use Microsoft Visual Studio and Git repositories
Support cloud database environments on AWS or Azure
Required Qualifications:
3 years of experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development and monitoring
3 years in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
3 years with AWS Glue and ETL tools
3 years of REST API development using JSON and C#
1 year of experience in:
Database design development and security
Data conversion from legacy systems
Containers (Kubernetes Docker OpenShift)
Microsoft Visual Studio and Git
Cloud DBs (AWS or Azure)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
