Job Description

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. seeks a Lead Developer in Test.

Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties:

  • Oversee/manage reviews of system architecture code and design documents for specific portfolio.
  • Ownership of automation architecture (both functional and performance) and set up test frameworks/infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a team of Developers in Test.
  • Effectively communicate testing activities findings and project risk in oral and written formats.
  • Champion the collaborative resolution of defects including root cause analysis of production incidents.
  • Perform Independent Assurance on all SCLC phases in a project.
  • Ensure adherence with technology policies and compliance with all security controls.
  • Ensure compliance with FINRA technology policies and standards.
  • Design Cloud Infrastructures providing solutions based on a range of Cloud technologies and services and craft solutions that meet customer application technology and business requirements using technologies like Spring Boot.
  • Develop workflow orchestration using the infrastructure/services provided by AWS like AWS EMR ASW S3 ASW Lambda and ASW SNS/SQS.

Education requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or related technical field or foreign equivalent

Experience requirements: 7 years experience in software development and/or test automation

Or alternatively:

Education requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or related technical field or foreign equivalent

Experience requirements: 5 years experience in software development and/or test automation

Special Skills or Other Requirements:

Experience must include:

  • Computer science fundamentals algorithm design problem solving complexity analysis and data structures.
  • Testing process test types test design and testing methodologies
  • Modern programming languages and common development technologies with software architecture and design skills such as Python Java Scala and Angular.
  • Functional or Performance or Security or DevOps test tools such as Jenkins for continuous application deployment Black Duck for identifying license security and operational risks with open source softwares ZAP and BURP Suite for testing vulnerabilities in web applications and Splunk for application log management.
  • Architecting designing and developing automation frameworks and test suites using technologies like Gradle Cypress or Maven.
  • Cloud related technologies specifically AWS services such as EC2 Lamba TAM S3 and RDS services.
  • Working in Unix/Linux environment particularly developing bash scripts.

Salary: $173763 - $232500 per year

Time Off and Paid Leave*

FINRA encourages its employees to focus on their health and wellness in many ways including through a generous time-off program of 15 days of paid time off 5 personal days and 9 sick days unless otherwise required by law (all pro-rated in the first year). Additionally we are proud to support our communities by providing two volunteer service days (based on full-time schedule). Other paid leave includes military leave jury duty leave bereavement leave voting and election official leave for federal state or local primary and general elections care of a family member leave (available after 90 days of employment); and childbirth and parental leave (available after 90 days of employment). Important Information

FINRAs Code of Conduct imposes restrictions on employees investments and requires financial disclosures that are uniquely related to our role as a securities regulator.
