Product Biology, Turf & Professional Pest Management, Insecticides Lead

To support this challenge Syngentas Product Biology team is currently seeking a Product Biology Turf & Professional Pest Management (PPM) Insecticides Lead in Greensboro NC.

Accountabilities:

• Coordinate the North America (US and Canada) Product Biology early-stage active ingredient (ai) Turf insecticide portfolio & PPM portfolio research program(s) with a strategic approach to pipeline development; set priorities and drive efforts needed to describe the biological attributes of active ingredients such as biorationals microbials and/or biologicals inclusive resistance management strategies for long term product sustainability.
• Work in partnership with Global Technical Managers (SPS) SPS Brand Management North America to profile new ais for.  
• Collaborate with other R&D functions such as SPS CPFD T&E Regulatory Portfolio Management. and Production & Supply to drive operational excellence across all aspects of new ai development
• Represent Product Biology in regional multi-function development teams to advise on and implement testing programs considering regional strategies.
• Generate and implement innovative ideas on active ingredient development to enable rapid efficient and value-added incorporation into Syngenta integrated solutions and initiatives.
• Build and deliver ai profiles that are well-scoped with clearly understood technical attributes and resistance management strategies for active ingredients
• Propose and advise compelling product concepts based on new and existing ais in alignment with Global Technical Mgrs Regional Product Marketing and Technical Field Services
• Manage the development of research protocols designed to identify biological targets use rates appropriate formulations phytotoxicity and solutions/sustainability fit.
• Monitor and ensure competitive benchmarking occurs throughout product development.
• Advice on Insect Resistance Management Strategies as related to product sustainability product lifecycle management and resistance risk across the competitive landscape.

Qualifications :

Required:

• PhD in Entomology or MS in Entomology with a minimum of 5 years of research experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of field trial implementation experience.

Preferred:

• Excellent technical skills in at least one Crop Protection and/or Professional Solutions discipline.
• An in-depth knowledge and understanding of key socio agronomic factors influencing SPS Markets (US/ APAC and/ or LATAM).
• Excellent statistical and analytical skills: High competency in data analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent project management skills comfortable working independently on project planning and execution including trial budget planning.
• Change Management and Process Improvement skills experience.
