SEWS El Paso Texas Office. Although located at SEWS El Paso Office this is a Hybrid position which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least three days in the office each week but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
Basic Purpose:
Buyer for MRO Procurement Corporate Staff. MRO II Buyer is responsible for the timely and efficient purchase of Maintenance Repair and Operation (MRO) supplies equipment & services for the organization. This role involves strategic buying activities supporting manufacturing customer service centers and other key operational areas of SEW business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Timely procurement of materials reviewing requisitions and issuing purchase orders.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers collaborate on cost savings and negotiations and conduct research.
- Manage daily supplier relationships negotiate terms resolve quality issues and provide performance feedback to suppliers to build a strong working relationship.
- Identify cost savings opportunities negotiate contracts report on MRO expenses and optimize MRO purchasing process.
- Support cross-function teams and provide guidance to team members.
- Maintain professional work environment through 6S principals (Sort/Set/Shine/Standardize/Sustain/Safety).
- Track and report monthly cost savings activities to procurement management team.
- Follow up on Incoterms for shipping/receiving MRO materials to US.
- May perform non-purchasing duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree with 3-5 years experience/Degree in related field preferred but not required.
- Strong purchasing/planning/buyer background.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks details oriented and proficient in MS office skills strong excel skills.
- Working knowledge of computer and major software packages.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
