POSITION:Adjunct Professor of Nursing DESCRIPTION: East Texas Baptist University invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Teague School of Nursing. The position begins August 18 2025 and will include teaching clinical lab or didactic assignments in the Fall and Spring semester not to exceed 15 hours for the academic year. QUALIFICATIONS: ETBU seeks a qualified individual who has graduated from an accredited program with a Masters in Nursing is required; a terminal degree in nursing is preferred. Applicants nearing completion of their doctorate may be considered. A current unencumbered licensure (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Texas a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and four years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse are required. Evidence of current immunizations and BLS certification are required and must be kept current while teaching. Clinical bedside experience in community health medical-surgical step-down/telemetry emergency room or intensive care units is preferred. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching as well as the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues. Candidates must possess an appreciation and commitment to teaching in Christian higher education through the integration of biblical faith and learning. Candidates must demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Adjunct Faculty must live lifestyles consistent with the Universitys biblical standards of morality temperance stewardship as well as membership and active participation in the adjunct faculty members local Christian church.
