The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of child protection project activities implemented in partnership with national organizations. This includes day-to-day oversight of project implementation supervision of field-level activities internal coordination with Street Child teams and external communication with partners donors and coordination bodies.
Project Manager will ensure that all project activities are aligned with international child protection standards and donor requirements while also monitoring budget execution and ensuring accountability. The role involves providing technical guidance to implementing partners supporting capacity building and contributing to the development of new project proposals.
Project Manager will also play a primal role in organisations efforts in contributing to Better Care reform through engaging with organisations and partners working in the reform support to project proposal writing establishing existed consortiums etc.
Reporting to the Country Director the Project Manager will work closely with the programmes MEAL operations teams of Street Child Ukraine and three local implementing partner organisations to ensure quality implementation and continuous learning. The role also includes representation duties in the Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR) and other relevant coordination platforms.

This role is opened to implement project funded by Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund (project number 34832).
Key Responsibilities:
1) Project Delivery and management (60%)
Oversee and coordinate the project implementation identify gaps and provide adequate response to any challenges of the project to achieve its objectives
Ensure activities align with international child protection standards and donor requirements
Work closely with Project Officer Protection Officer and Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure smooth and timely project implementation
Support implementing partners in project delivery providing technical guidance and capacity strengthening
Conduct regular field visits to monitor partner activities and ensure quality standards are met
Create accurate and high-quality narrative reports on project implementation. Review and provide feedback on reports and papers submitted by partners and Street Child staff
Monitor project budgets expenditures and ensure accountability in fund use
Lead on child protection components in the development of new project proposals
Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to other team members ensuring lessons learned are documented and shared
Support management team in developing well-structured logical frameworks and project proposals that contribute to future Street Childs multisectoral projects with strong component of child protection including one focusing of Better Care reform.
2) Partnerships & Capacity Building (30%)
Establish develop and maintain excellent relationship with the national implementing partners;
Liaise with government agencies NGOs and community organizations to enhance coordination and advocacy for child protection;
3) Representation (10%)
Take an active part in Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR) coordination meetings and engage in other relevant cluster meetings when required
Support any coordination activities in project implementation oblasts during the transition period from CP AoR to other coordination mechanisms
Represent the organisation and the programme among different stakeholders including partners donors during cluster meetings coordination meetings etc.
Support the Ukraine Country Director to identify build and sustain effective working partnerships with government and non-government stakeholders
Attend meetings activities or events related to Better Care reform in Ukraine in order to contribute to its initiatives.

Person Specification
Experience and Knowledge:
Proven experience in managing and delivering child protection projects.
Demonstrated understanding of international child protection standards principles and case management approaches.
Solid knowledge of safeguarding protection mainstreaming and participatory approaches in program design.
Experience in MMT MHPSS case management activities
Familiarity with coordination structures in humanitarian settings including CP AoR and inter-agency cluster systems.
Demonstrable experience working closely with national/local NGOs in Ukraine
Skills and Abilities:
Critical thinking and ability to see a broader picture; ability to analyse different sources of information and provide informed judgment
Experience working with budgets preparing proposals to donors
Proven capabilities in leadership and team working excellent interpersonal listening and communication skills
Excellent organisational abilities and task delegation skill
Experience on presenting information to a group of people delivering presentations
Demonstrated experience to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Excellent written and spoken Ukrainian and English languages skills

Education / Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or Higher in International Development Humanitarian Human Rights Social Work or related field
