Job Description
POSITION: BOYS AND GIRLS HEAD COACH GOLF
REPORTS TO: Principal and Athletic Director

Richmond Senior High School is seeking dedicated knowledgeable and student-centered individuals to serve as Head Coach for Boys and Girls Golf. These positions provide leadership in the development organization and management of a successful high school golf program that promotes academic success sportsmanship and the overall growth of student-athletes.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience coaching golf at the high school collegiate or professional level
- Knowledge of golf techniques and rules
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to obtain
- A valid CDL or a willingness to obtain one is strongly preferred to assist with transportation needs
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Oversee all aspects of the golf program including scheduling instruction supervision and program development
- Plan and conduct effective practices that develop skill
- Work directly with Foxfire Golf Club to coordinate practice schedules and host team tournaments
- Communicate effectively with athletes families school staff and administration
- Ensure compliance with NCHSAA district and school athletic policies
- Coordinate transportation needs and logistics with the athletic department
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Work in this classification is considered light physical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Generally the job requires sitting walking and standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
