Since its founding in 2010 Challenge Preparatory Charter School (Challenge Prep) has provided students and families with a successful academic program in Far Rockaway Queens. We currently serve over 1200 scholars from Kindergarten to 12th grade across 3 sites. Our schools mission is to prepare students from the greater Far Rockaway community to excel academically to demonstrate mastery of the NY State Learning Standardsand to achieve their career aspirations. Challenge cultivates and supports the intellectual aesthetic social emotionaland ethical development of its students and prepares them to be responsible 21st century citizens. To accomplish its mission Challenge offers a rigorous instructional program in a safe supportive technology-infused and data-enriched and social-emotional learning sequence authentic field experiences career counseling and college coursework. The Digital Marketing Assistant will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The overall job goals and responsibilities include:
The Digital Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the communication branding and outreach efforts of Challenge Charter Schools. This position involves assisting in the development and execution of marketing strategies that promote the schools mission programs and achievements. The Digital Marketing Assistant helps increase visibility within the community engage current families and attract prospective students and staff through various channels including digital media community events and print materials.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The staff of CCS is committed to fostering a vibrant inclusive community that values innovation collaboration and effective communication to promote student success engagement and lifelong learning.
Marketing Campaign Support - Conduct research on target audiences market trends and competitor activities. Generate ideas to promote enrollment aid retention and boost school community engagement. Assist with list building and content development for email marketing campaigns.
Brand Design - Provide design support for marketing campaigns and other materials. Assist in creating flyers print ads slide decks merchandise social media and website assets and building signage.
Social Media Collaboration - Create and schedule social media content (stories reels posts videos) engage with followers and help monitor social media channels. Prepare monthly and campaign insight reports. Analyze social media data to identify areas for improvement and optimize campaign performance.
Communications Support - Assist with the development and execution of family and staff communications public relations and crisis communications.
Event Coverage - Attend school events such as assemblies athletics open houses and school-wide celebrations as directed. Capture candid photos and news elements and collaborate with school staff students and families to showcase success stories and school initiatives.
Administrative Work - Perform various administrative tasks such as planning the content calendar building and maintaining email databases organizing marketing materials and coordinating with vendors as needed. Maintain and update calendars for all digital platforms.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; BA or college coursework or degree in Marketing Communications or a related field preferred.
Experience with developing content for social media platforms i.e. graphic assets photos reels videos stories posts for Facebook Instagram YouTube etc.
Experience with website content management systems.
Creativity and design ability with robust knowledge of graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite Canva etc.) preferred.
Familiarity with data tracking and analytics tools is a plus.
Passion for education community service and working with diverse populations.
Ability to work flexible hours occasionally for events and outreach activities.
$25 - $30 an hour
Based and qualification and experience.
