HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provides advanced life support emergency care and transportation to the sick and/or injured.


Reports:

Transport Chief Paramedic/TMH EMS Medical Director

Supervises:

Transport EMT

WHAT YOULL NEED TO APPLY

Required Experience:

Minimum: One (1) year paramedic experience or related experience.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Minimum: Licensed Florida Paramedic. Must possess a State of Florida Class E Drivers License. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. HAZ-MAT Awareness. Completion of 16 hour Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC). Must meet all current requirements of Chapter 64 J-1 Florida Administrative Code and all applicable Florida Statutes for Paramedics.
  • Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certificate (PALS). Basic Trauma Life Support certificate (BTLS). All Certifications and Licenses are required at the time of appointment. All Certificates and Licenses must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
  • Behavioral Criteria: Incumbent operates a TMH vehicle and requires a valid state driver license. Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Required to provide a seven (7)- year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment. Will have received no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years.
