Job Description

Job Title: Contract Specialist

Location: Williamsburg
Reports to: Regional Controller


Major Role & Purpose:

Provide support for project staff to ensure contractual aspects of construction projects follow contract agreements and legal requirements from start to finish.

Description of Duties:

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal state local and company safety policies.
  • Administration of contracts & subcontracts.
  • Draft create and oversee subcontracts.
  • Manage compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Track contract changes manage documentation and assist in resolving disputes.
  • Effectively communicate with the project managers and field supervisors.
  • Identify and mitigate potential contract risks such as delays cost overruns or non-compliance issues.
  • Contract billing for all contracts.
  • Update Insurance Certificates.
  • Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
Education:
  • Associate degree or comparable combination of education and experience.
Work Experience/Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting/contract admin andbilling. Construction related preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize while maintaining deadlines.
  • Produce accurate and timely work.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly (environment/technology).
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Physical Demands:
  • Job requires the following motions: driving standing sitting squatting reaching pulling/pushing and lifting.
