Job Description
About the Role:
This position will suit a solicitor with strong litigation capability who enjoys the autonomy of running files from end to end. The role offers exposure to complex matters including commercial litigation strata/building disputes estate litigation and business disputes.
Experience in class actions will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of litigation files independentlyfrom strategy development through to resolution.
- Draft pleadings affidavits settlement agreements and prepare court documentation.
- Represent clients at mediations directions hearings and contested proceedings.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including counsel clients experts and court staff.
- Advise clients on legal strategy and engage in practical resolution planning.
About the Candidate:
- A minimum of 4 years post-admission experience in litigation.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload autonomously and meet court deadlines.
- Strong technical drafting negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Confident communicator with a client-centric approach.
- Experience in class action litigation will be highly regarded but not essential.
