Expression of Interest: Seismologist/Earthquake Geologist/Geotechnical Earthquake Engineer

Are you an experienced Seismologist Earthquake Geologist or Geotechnical Earthquake Engineer passionate about making communities safer

GHD is inviting expressions of interest from talented professionals across the Asia Pacific region to become part of our dynamic Global Seismic Services Team.

Your Role:

  • Lead or support seismic hazard characterization and monitoring projects.
  • Conduct seismic hazard assessments including ground motions fault rupture hazard liquefaction tsunamis and ground deformation.
  • Perform probabilistic and deterministic seismic hazard analyses.
  • Assess active/neotectonics faults paleo seismicity and fault displacement.
  • Engage in site response analyses and liquefaction risk evaluations.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored solutions and foster long-term relationships.
  • Lead project teams ensuring technical excellence timely delivery and resource management.
  • Mentor junior team members and support technical reviews.

What You Bring:

  • MSc or PhD in Seismology Earthquake Geology Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering or related fields.
  • Proven experience in seismic hazard and risk assessments ideally with knowledge of OpenQuake.
  • Skills in GIS and scripting languages.
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
  • Experience working across infrastructure sectors (desirable management and client interface experience).
