Application Engineer
Responsible for the development and execution of seatbelt application products. Lead execute and support various project activities during technical critical phases of awarded programs. The Engineer will be responsible for the product validation per customer requirements in time to support production launch. Develop designs that are aligned with the customers needs and Autolivs product/process roadmap.
What youll do:
- Ability to create design / manage CAD. Ability to give clear direction to design team.
- Clear understanding of manufacturing processes and relationship to design.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and create a design aligned with Autoliv Product Strategy.
- Ability to clearly communicate in presentations (written/verbal). Ability to work under pressure.
- Cross-functional team member supporting all applicable internal departments including design manufacturing purchasing quality program management and suppliers to ensure a flawless program launch.
What is required:
- Mechanical Engineering B.S. or similar engineering degree
- 3-5 years of Product Experience (Seatbelts)
- Design / CAD Perform Tolerance Stack
- Apply GD&T on Drawings Ability to understand manufacturing needs
- Problem Solving Skills
- CAD skills (V5 Preferred)
- Good communicator
- Availability to work on site 60% of the time
