Job Description

Job Title: QC Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Saudi
Experience: 4 - 5 years
Salary: Depends upon Experience

Job Summary:

The QC Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical quality control activities at the project site. This role ensures that all mechanical works comply with relevant codes standards specifications and client requirements. The supervisor works closely with the construction and quality teams to ensure timely inspections testing documentation and compliance with approved procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all QC Mechanical activities on site.

  • Review and interpret project specifications drawings and applicable codes and standards (ASME API ISO etc.).

  • Monitor daily inspection activities including welding piping static & rotary equipment and HVAC installations.

  • Prepare and maintain Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) method statements and QC reports.

  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients for witnessing and approval of inspections and tests.

  • Verify material certificates equipment calibration and compliance of construction with project specifications.

  • Ensure welders and inspectors are qualified and certified as per project standards.

  • Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions.

  • Support pre-commissioning and final acceptance testing.

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to the project quality plan.

  • Ensure all Quality Control documentation is compiled and submitted for final handover (as-built and dossier).


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Certification in Quality Control (e.g. CSWIP 3.1 AWS-CWI API 510/570/653 preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in Oil & Gas Power or Industrial projects.

  • Strong understanding of welding and piping processes pressure testing and mechanical equipment installation.


Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of international standards (ASME ASTM API ISO etc.).

  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing ITPs method statements and quality documentation.

  • Experience with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) techniques and coordination.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and Quality Management Software (e.g. Q-Pulse SmartPlant).

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
