This is a remote position.
Position Title: Tax Accountant (CPA/CA-Qualified)Work Set-up: Work from Home
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM PH Time
Salary: Php 80000.00 Php 100000.00

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A TAX ACCOUNTANT (CPA/CA-QUALIFIED)
Your Responsibilities as Tax Accountant (CPA/CA-Qualified) would be:
Prepare and lodge individual sole trader partnership company and trust tax returns.
Process BAS IAS and payroll reconciliations for small business clients.
Liaise with clients directly via phone and email to gather information and explain tax positions.
Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and maintain accurate client records.
Provide tax planning support and assist in year-end advisory as needed.
Work within fixed-fee service models and identify scope variations where appropriate.
Assist in ongoing improvements to internal workflows and cloud-based processes.
Use and support the use of Xero Xero Tax and Hubdoc.
Qualifications as Tax Accountant (CPA/CA-Qualified):
3 5 years experience in Australian public practice.
Strong working knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance obligations.
Proficiency in Xero Xero Tax and supporting cloud-based tools (e.g. Hubdoc Practice Manager).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-driven accountable and able to manage your own workload.
Comfortable working independently and remotely.
CPA or CA qualified (or near completion).
Willing to undergo a skills test as part of the recruitment process.
Bonus Points/Advantage if you have:
o Experience with fee from refund returns.
o Familiarity with fixed-fee monthly client packages.
o Experience supporting small business clients and handling varied entity structures.
o Knowledge of Div 7A CGT and small business concessions.
