In line with its ongoing efforts to strengthen regional engagement the organisation is seeking to fill the following role in its Northern Zone operations
Role Overview
The Membership Relations Officer will support all aspects of membership development in the Northern Zone including recruitment retention and reactivation. The role also involves maintaining a strong member experience coordinating outreach efforts and supporting membership-driven events and initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in executing membership acquisition retention and reactivation strategies in line with the organisation s goals.
Conduct regular membership drives and follow-up outreach to potential and inactive members.
Support the planning and implementation of initiatives that enhance member value and engagement.
Liaise with internal departments to align programmes trainings and advocacy activities with membership growth objectives.
Help organise member events and networking forums in the Northern Zone.
Maintain and update the member database to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Contribute to efforts that improve subscription payment rates and support the membership invoicing cycle.
Provide regular reports on membership trends service delivery and zone-specific insights.
Serve as Secretary to one or more policy committees as assigned.
Perform other duties as directed by the Manager Membership Relations and Director Membership & Branch Development.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Management or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a stakeholder-facing or membership-related role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-service mindset.
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office and digitally savvy.
Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability.
Experience in a professional institute trade association or member-based organisation is an advantage.
