You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a part-time Peer Support Specialist to help our clients be successful to achieve their goals!
Workweek is defined as 24 hours weekly (three 8-hour days per week). Business hours are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Benefits are offered on a pro-rated basis to reflect the part-time status of the position. This is an FLSA non-exempt position paying $17.00 per hour ($21216.00 annually).
Responsibilities:
Actively assist with and support clients to aspire to roles emphasizing strengths by sharing of first hand experiences to offer hope and reassurance.
Provide peer interventions and role modeling for clients regarding but not limited to symptoms of mental illness and medication side effects skill building coping mechanisms and life coaching resource connection and community engagement crisis response and assistance in treatment planning and goal setting to optimize recovery goals.
Collaborate with and provide training and education to team members and clients with regard to community resources advocacy organizations and peer support services.

What You Need to Join Us:
College degree is required along with a State of Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification. Understanding of and personal experience with symptoms of mental illness. Work cooperatively in a team setting. Perform job duties following personal safety and risk reduction directives. Maintain an ethical therapeutic relationship with clients and provide confidentiality. Ability to document and submit required patient service hours of 748.80 hours annually (62.40 per month). Valid Ohio Drivers License & Reliable Transportation Clean driving record (4 points). Successful Background Check & Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
