Summary
Responsible for employment legal advice administrative employment claims and supporting employment litigation handling across Sanford Health.Job Description
A part of and reporting to a broader employment legal team provides legal counsel and advice specific to relevant federal state and local labor and employment laws including the following: drafting federal state and local administrative employment charge responses; coordination with external counsel assisting with charge responses and employment litigation; gathering and reviewing electronic discovery; caselaw research; coordinating responses to subpoenas and requests for personnel files and employment-related records; reviewing background check requirements for healthcare entities; reviewing and advising on employment policies and handbooks; drafting employment contracts monitoring and counseling on multi-jurisdictional compliance working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with employment laws; and collaborates and works well as part of a broader legal team.Qualifications
