Job Description
Great Lakes Orthopedics is seeking a full-time experienced Orthopedic Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team and to work in our St. John Crown Point and Lowell offices.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly welcoming manner.
- Performs patient triage to assess patient care needs.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information prior to providing direct patient care services and escort the patient to the exam room for treatment and care.
- Obtain patient histories vitals blood pressure provide instruction and educate patients in accordance to physician directives.
- Perform dressing changes.
- Accurately documents in patients medical record patient communication and conveys all medication concerns and/or adverse reaction to physician.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
- Graduate or acquired the skills and experience equivalent to a graduate of an approved Medical Assistants program.
- Must have current CPR certification
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Orthopedic experience a plus.
