Summary The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment while promoting a culture of safety across the entire facility. The coordinator role is a hands-on position that supports production and performs immediate corrective actions to mitigate risks or hazards in the workplace. Primary responsibilities include promoting and implementing all EHS objectives including EHS programs policies and procedures with primary emphasis on occupational health and safety. The EHS Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and maintaining regulatory compliance. This position requires a skilled individual to assist in the ownership of EHS related operations reporting to the EHS Specialist with functions in the office environment and heavy engagement on the production floor. Preferred 2 year EHS or similar degree and/or hands on experience in EHS. Manufacturing experience is preferred. Key Functions The EHS Coordinator will assist in all day-to-day EHS activities including but not limited to: - Conducting thorough accident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Maintaining EHS records
- Can balance multiple tasks at one time
- Weeky monthly quarterly annual EHS reporting requirements
- Plant KPI reporting needs
- Ensure facility compliance with ISO 14001 and environmental standards
- Assist in the onboarding of new hire employees
- Help deliver essential safety training on various topics including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Crane Safety Forklift Operation Aerial Lift Safety Arc Flash and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage and maintain applicable records
- Executing routine safety audits and inspections such as ensuring Eyewash stations are operational inspecting AEDs and First Aid Cabinets assessing Fire Extinguishers and performing internal floor evaluations.
- Completing job hazard analysis on equipment
- May need to work overtime and off shift hours as needed
