Job Description
Saint Josephs College of Maine is hiring for the position of Course Developer - Theology.
The part-time per-course individual will be hired to develop course content for specific courses defined in contract.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Collaborate with members of the TEI Peer Reviewer (if applicable) and Program Director to:
- Develop revise and submit:
- 25-50% new content
- Course content to incorporate newest edition of the textbook
- Course materials as necessary to meet the editing instructional design and operational standards of Saint Josephs College (SJC)
- Follow all copyright use laws and regulations
- Meet the Program and SJC Online: Guiding Principles
- Curate and/or create course resources and materials that reflect content appropriate form of diverse media that may include: text-based resources video links websites Ted Talks or other open source digital media materials
- Make any necessary changes to make the course content current and meet the Colleges design standards
- Develop revise and submit:
- Finalize all course materials by:
- Incorporating Peer Reviewer (if applicable) Program Director and Course Design recommendations as appropriate
- Develop and revise answer keys or grading rubrics for all assignments and final assessment
- Meeting the quality standards as defined by the Course Quality Review Checklist
- Citing all sources according to the appropriate citation guidelines (APA/MLA)
- Develop a full References/Works Cited section as appropriate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors level degree required Masters preferred
- Knowledge of Catholic doctrine and dogma
