Job Description
Database Developer - Financial Data Platform
- Location: Hybrid / Philadelphia (local candidates only)
- Full-time / Regular / Direct employment (with client)
- US Citizen/Greed Card Holders only (No C2C / Visa)
An established financial services firm is seeking a Database Developer with strong SQL Server Snowflake and Python expertise to help evolve its cloud-based data architecture. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in-office near Philadelphia with flexibility based on onboarding performance and manager discretion.
The ideal candidate has a solid background in building scalable high-performing database systems experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and a passion for data-driven problem solving in fast-paced environments.
Key Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server development (T-SQL stored procedures triggers)
- Strong background with SSIS SSRS and Visual Studio database projects
- Experience developing solutions in Snowflake (SnowSQL Streams Tasks stored procedures)
- Scripting skills in Python for automation transformation or orchestration
- Familiarity with AWS particularly in hybrid/on-prem data environments

Experience with PostgreSQL is a strong plus
- Understanding of data governance data security and enterprise data management standards
- Clear technical documentation and cross-team collaboration skills
- Previous exposure to the financial or wealth management sector is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Develop and support high-volume high-performance database systems using SQL Server tools
- Design and optimize stored procedures ETL pipelines and reporting solutions
- Support Snowflake development including automation and near real-time data workflows
- Collaborate across departments to define data solutions aligned with business needs
- Monitor and improve performance of database environments and SQL workloads
- Document data systems architecture and flows clearly and consistently

Participate in on-call or off-hours support rotation as needed
Education & Background
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Ongoing commitment to learning emerging technologies and best practices
