Job Description

Group and Team: City Compliance group Permits Team.

Salary range:
$91138 per annum 13.5% superannuation.

About the role

The role is responsible for the provision of support to the Council with plumbing approvals compliance issues enforcement processes statutory advice and assisting in the management of effective service delivery.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Investigate and report on plumbing compliance matters including conducting research and undertaking enforcement actions pursuant to the Building Act 2016.
  • Provide advice and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders relating to plumbing compliance and the plumbing approval processes.
  • Review and report on schedules of maintenance for plumbing work or plumbing installations in accordance with the requirement of the Building Act 2016.
  • Investigate plumbing compliance and respond to requests for approvals under the Strata Titles Act 1998.
  • Provide high level support to the Permit Authority to ensure achievement of legislative requirements and to facilitate administration of the Building Act 2016 including monitoring legislative change and ensuring business and system processes and procedures reflect legislative requirements.
