Lead Power Generation C&I Engineer

Your role
As a Lead Engineer in our Queensland Energy Tean youll guide purposeful work that supports the future of the energy sector. Collaborating with a diverse multidisciplinary team youll explore integrated solutions offer thoughtful perspectives and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.
What youll be doing
Empowering energy transformation through direct engagement support clients in developing power generation energy storage and network operation projects
Collaborating across disciplines work closely with a range of experts to explore creative solutions to system needs
Providing insights with care share well-informed guidance that supports confident inclusive decision-making
Supporting the energy transition contribute to renewable and firming technologies including storage solar wind while maintaining the reliability of the grid
Improving systems mindfully use thoughtful techniques to understand performance and identify areas for positive change
Underpin team growth and development support the Aurecon team through effective management training and business development activities
What youll bring
You blend technical knowledge with empathy and big-picture thinking. Youre someone who thrives in dynamic environments builds meaningful connections and is motivated by purposeful work. Youll also have:
- The ability to bring innovation to complex problems using your problem solving and analytical skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering and be registered as a RPEQ
- Alignment with many of the Aurecon Attributes co-creative commercial engaging fearless inquisitive resourceful sense maker and unconventional thinker
- A willingness to travel with the possibility of taking on a site role
- At least 15 years post-graduation experience in a role with close contact with the power industry consulting or power project developer/owner/operator
- Knowledge and understanding of the control systems of large-scale power generation plants
- A strong business acumen and experience in a consulting environment
