Job Description
As an emerging Traffic Design Engineer at Isthmus Engineering you will be part of a growing Traffic team that collaborates with colleagues clients and agencies to efficiently deliver successful transportation-related projects. You will also have the opportunity to explore and develop in other service areas as you gain experience toward professional licensure. The responsibilities for the position of Traffic Design Engineer include:
- Collaborating with team members to efficiently deliver successful transportation-related projects.
- Maintaining steady progress toward developing transportation-related and traffic engineering abilities.
- Supporting roadway and transit design efforts in accordance with governing design standards.
- Leveraging CADD based design tools in adherence with agency CADD standards.
- Demonstrating task ownership including documentation and quality reviews within project schedule constraints.
- Evidencing continued commitment to individual company and industry improvement.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree or graduate degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- FE/EIT certification.
- Two or more years of experience in civil transportation engineering (one or more years of experience in traffic engineering).
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer MicroStation or Civil 3D; SignCAD; and traffic modeling software.

Compensation and Benefits
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70000$85000/year for a 40-hour base work week. Compensation will be based upon experience education skill level and other factors.
