IQVIA is looking for a Project Manager- Strategic Meetings and Events EMEA to join fast-growing SM&E team
Job Overview
Manage the operational aspects of commercial or educational Meetings & Events projects for customers in Life Sciences industry (Pharma Med-tech OTC etc.). Will ensure that all project work is completed in accordance with SOPs policies and regulations .
Main accountabilities
Lead Meetings and Events logistics projects from concept development to live operation and reconciliation
Facilitate F2F Hybrid and Virtual meetings and events for clients in different locations leveraging a variety of platforms.
Will need to travel for the delivery of in person events
Ensure that work is conducted in compliance with standard processes policies and procedures and meets project timeline metrics.
Contract and manage partnerships with 3rd party vendors.
Create track and report on project progress and timelines.
Produce and distribute status tracking financial reports and presentation materials for internal and external team members and senior management
Manage project budgets and approval of invoices
Responsibility for financial reporting on the project including tracking deliverables and invoicing
May participate in proposal development and sales/proposal presentations providing input into project proposals and RFPs
Monitor and coordinate efforts of cross-functional project teams and project resources within and outside the organization
Meet with team members on a regular basis regarding project tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
Lead problem solving and resolution efforts
Train and mentor junior Project Manager staff
Partner with other Project Managers to develop and implement process improvements
Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree preferred
5 years of experience in running meetings & events for the Life Sciences industry is highly preferred. Experience in similar fields such as scientific content management or training courses design and delivery is also welcome
DES (Digital Events Strategist) or similar certification is a big advantage
Able to manage relationships between different groups of stakeholders. Previous experience with managing HCPs or faculty members in general is an advantage
Experience with managing any virtual meetings or events platforms (Zoom MS Teams WebEx Adobe Connect ON24 Livestorm or similar)
Experience with Cvent in a plus
Strong software and computer skills including MS Office applications.
Proven fluency in English and at least in one of the following languages: French Spanish Italian German. Being native speaker will be an advantage. All other European languages are also of interest
Able to work in a flexible way outside office hours to deliver projects as necessary
Strong project management skills: demonstrated ability to complete projects and deliver high-quality results according to outlined scope budget and timeline
Data accuracy and attention to details
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers managers and clients
Customer oriented and result driven: stay focused despite adversity being resilient to pressure and demonstrating a make it happen mentality is essential to succeed in the role
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal direction
Teamworking: maintaining positive and collaborative attitude towards team members and contributing to creating strong team spirit
