About the Role
Were working with a specialist engineering firm thats on the lookout for a Controls / Automation Engineer to join their growing team. If youre a confident Controls or Automation Engineer and enjoy a mix of office-based work and site travel (with a company car thrown in) this ones right up your alley.
Youll be part of a tight-knit engineering team working on high-profile automation projects across a variety of industries from manufacturing and aerospace to high-performance engineering. Theres loads of variety genuine technical challenge and plenty of room to grow.
What Youll Be Doing
Programming PLCs & HMIs
Designing control architectures and electrical systems
Commissioning and supporting automation systems at client sites across the UK
Fault-finding debugging and ensuring systems run smoothly post-installation
Working closely with project teams and electricians to hit project targets
What Youll Need
Solid hands-on experience with Control Systems
Background in industrial automation and controls
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Full UK driving licence this role includes regular travel to sites
Great problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
Bonus Points If You Have:
Exposure to SCADA IIoT or machine data analytics
Experience with other platforms
Electrical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or above)
