Job Description

About This Role

In addition to leading purchasing activities the Sourcing Lead supports the development communication and execution of commodity strategies and/or other projects (e.g. process optimization) as well as supplier relationship management activities.

Responsibilities:

Order Management:

  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Issue purchase order follow-ups to ensure correct pricing terms and specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Data Management:

  • Input data into ERP tools (e.g. Oracle).

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.

  • Analyze purchase requests for accuracy and alignment with business needs.

Supplier Management:

  • Negotiate pricing specific to purchase order needs.

  • Work cross-functionally to address quality and obsolescence issues.

  • Support supplier relationships and performance.

  • Maintain supplier scorecards.

Strategic Procurement:

  • Develop and execute medium complexity purchasing strategies for favorable pricing and/or improved T&Cs.

  • Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders.

  • Lead sourcing initiatives and manage supplier selection.

  • Support the development communication and execution of commodity strategies.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing procurement or supply chain management.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on results.

  • Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative solutions.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

  • Self-motivated responsible and able to work independently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook Access); quick to learn new systems and tools.

  • Bilingual: fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
