About this opportunity:
The Senior Planning Technologist will primarily be responsible to maintain and steward the plan of West White Rose (WWR) Flowline & Brownfield Projects. This plan contains a high level forecast and timing of projects required for the total well program as well as a more detailed plan for projects near readiness for offshore execution. The position will work closely with our EPC contractor our SSDCI reservoir depletion plan and our offshore planning groups to ensure the plan is aligned with the drilling schedule and offshore work is added to offshore execution plans. This position requires a solid understanding of the reservoir depletion plan flowline completion EPC schedules and the Cenovus organization and procedures to implement work offshore. The role supports the overall Project Team s goal of execution of the West White Rose (WWR) Flowline & Brownfield Projects aligned with the Atlantic region reservoir depletion plan.
This position is a full time permanent position located at our St. Johns office.
What youll do:
Maintain the project teams overall project plan
Ensure the plan is aligned to drilling plan and re-aligned with changes to it as required
Ensure the plan reflects EPC projects with definition as appropriate for the point in time its shown (high level for future year projects more detailed for projects in execution)
Provide periodic communication of the plan to stakeholders at appropriate intervals
Coordinate with project team to ensure timely estimates and support the LRP process
Support the project implementation coordinator in scheduling work offshore
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Technical designation Engineer or Technologist
Minimum of 8 years experience with planning and scheduling of medium scale projects particularly in Well Flowline Tie-in would be an asset
Proficient in planning / scheduling tools such as P6
Strong understanding of EC planning components and drilling schedules
Required training as per the CAPP Standard Practice and the approved Cenovus Training Matrix

This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments which includes drug and alcohol screening a medical and drivers abstract review.
