ABOUT THE ROLE
The SML Specialist prepares business related analyses and research for Supply Chain Materials Management and/or Logistics. The individual prepares forecasts analyzes trends and related to Distribution or Warehouse Inventory or Material Control Logistics Planning or Scheduling and/or Traffic or Transportation and uses the analyses to compile and prepare reports graphs and charts of data and/or ensure efficient production
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Maintain ongoing relationships with sales marketing finance procurement and manufacturing teams to understand the factors driving demand forecasting.
- Evaluate sales team forecasts and routine executions (historical data seasonality market trends special offers budgets etc.) through relevant data analysis.
- Improve forecast accuracy (statistical models software etc.) with cross-functional coordination actions.
- Coordinate client projects with the Sales and Supply Planning department.
- Adjust forecasting rules based on demand and market trends.
- Analyze quantitative and financial forecasts report on forecast KPIs and propose improvements.
- Lead forecast meetings as part of the internal S&OP process.
- Drive alignment and divergence with respect to the Annual Business Plan.
- Analyze demand verify stock availability in Latin America and alert on material availability if necessary.
- Manage supplier production forecasts.
- Responsible for verifying and meeting requested dates and planning the supply chain to meet customer demand and requests.
- Monitor the E&O process analyze impacts and define the cancellation plan.
- Create and execute a plan to achieve KPIs.
- Seek process improvements and automate routine activities based on continuous improvement practices.
- Guide and advise a team of technical experts providing guidance on algorithms model performance and data analysis best practices.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis with Oracle and develop dashboards and performance trackers.
- Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports.
- Act as a focal point for interpretation of related policies and procedures.
- Interface with manufacturing engineering customer vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
- Implement lean concepts and continuous improvements regarding supply chain material management and logistics systems and processes.
Qualifications :
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
- High school degree or equivalent. Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
- Fluent English
- 0-3 years SML or related experience.
- Good analytical mathematical organizational verbal and written communication skills and detail-oriented.
- Ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
- Familiarity in process documentation and improvement.
- Ability to design develop and maintain tables formulas graphs queries and macros.
- Understanding of applicable computer systems such as Microsoft Office Lotus Notes and function specific software.
