Job Description

POSITION: Project Head

DEPARTMENT: Project Management

REPORTING TO: Director - Hospitality

LOCATION: Chennai

SECTOR: Hospitality

Position Purpose

We are looking for a highly organized Executive project manager to oversee the successful execution of projects. The Executive project manager does this by creating planning steps managing the budget and identifying the required resources for the project.

To be successful as an Executive project manager you must have excellent organizational skills. A good Executive project manager is able to manage all aspects of the project simultaneously.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor s degree in civil engineering Construction Management Business Administration or related field. Advanced degree (MBA) preferred.

Minimum of 15-120 years of executive-level experience in project management or construction management in Hospitality Industry.

Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex construction projects on time within budget and to client satisfaction.

Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.

Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and profitability.

Extensive knowledge of construction principles practices and industry trends.

Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. Primavera MS Project Procore).

Experience in business development client management and contract negotiation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for construction projects in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the construction market.

Project Leadership: Provide executive leadership and direction to project teams including project managers engineers architects and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and excellence in project delivery.

Client Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients stakeholders and key decision-makers. Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile projects addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction.

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction market. Lead business development efforts including client presentations proposal development and contract negotiations.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects. Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure project success and minimize exposure.

Financial Management: Oversee project budgets expenses and financial performance. Monitor project finances to ensure profitability and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards meeting or exceeding client expectations. Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate construction activities.

Schedule Management: Monitor project schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Identify and address schedule delays or conflicts to prevent impacts on project milestones.

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular communication with project stakeholders to provide updates on project status progress and key milestones. Address any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Executive Reporting: Prepare and present executive-level reports and presentations on project performance financial metrics and strategic initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
