As the successful candidate you will be responsible for ensuring the portfolio of NPI projects under PDG and CTO teams is managed effectively and adheres to established governance frameworks and policies follows up on progress.

oOwning and actively managing (improving) GSI NPI NTI and MGPP processes
oDefining KPIs and how to measure them
oEnsuring regular (e.g. bi-weekly/monthly) structured review calls discussing a.o.
oProgress in regard to KPIs planning and milestones
oHighlights & challenges
oCriticality wrt commercial delivery projects
oRisk register
oResourcing outlook
oTracking budget expenditure
oManaging non-conformances and change requests
oProviding reports and insights to senior management

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Approving key deliverables and decisions:

• Authorising project initiation key milestones gate reviews and significant changes that impact the project.
• Ensuring smooth handover into start of NPI execution.
• Facilitating handshake between NTI and NPI teams.
• Approving NPI & NTI project plans.

Championing the project:

• Advocating for the project and its objectives with the different stakeholders and business lines.
• Advocate for securing necessary resources with the Functions in collaboration with the NPI leader and removing obstacles.

Ensuring alignment with strategic goals:

• Making sure the project aligns with GSIs overall vision mission and strategic objectives.
• Ownership of NPI project requirements document.
• PRD change management.
• Alignment with product and solution owners.

Providing guidance and support:

• Offering advice direction and technology guidance to the NPI project manager and team ensuring the project stays on track.

Managing risks and issues:

• Helping identify assess and mitigate potential risks and assisting in resolving significant issues that arise.
• Escalate to PDG and CTO management in case of issues / conflicts.

Ensuring benefits realisation:

• Working to ensure the project delivers the anticipated business outcomes and benefits.
• In essence the project sponsor acts as a bridge between the project team and senior management providing the necessary support authority and strategic direction for the projects success.

Required Qualifications:

• A technical academic degree in science engineering or technology BEng minimum higher preferred
• Professional proficiency in English French is a nice to have
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Substantial years of working experience in managing technical innovation
• Proven ability to develop and implement project/program organizational and control frameworks
• Experience with using project management tools e.g. Gantt charts Kanban boards project dashboards
• A well-organized way of working with attention to detail
• Effective communication and influencing skills
• Ability to summarise results visualize and present them to stakeholders
• Experience in working with HVDC and FACTS technology
