Tintern Grammar is seeking a dedicated and experienced Violin/Viola teacher to commence as soon as possible.
About the Role
The role currently entails approximately 5-6 hours of teaching per week on an individual basis to students in Years 3 to 9 and teaching groups in our Year 3/4 String Program for 90 minutes per week. The preferred teaching day is Thursday to align with the scheduling of the String Program.
Key responsibilities include preparing students for performances examinations and ensemble participation; writing student reports; and supporting the schools performance calendar as required.
About you
The successful applicant will be well organised possess strong communication skills and demonstrate a collaborative approach to working within a dynamic music and string teaching team. A high level of technical proficiency on their instrument and experience as a performing musician are desirable. Music teaching experience should be in evidence.
Applicants must hold a current Working with Children Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
