The Testing Coordinator isresponsible for the daily proctoring and operations of the day-to-day activities for the Testing primary role of the coordinator is to coordinate schedule and proctor exams for Office of Disability Services (ODS) students working collaboratively with faculty and position has oversight of the exams administered to students with disabilities who receive testing accommodations and responsibility for ensuring adherence to all rules and regulations of testing position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Disability Services.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Operations of the Testing Center (Disability Services)
- Manage the daily operations of the testing center within Disability Services.
- Schedule student exams using the ODS software system (Accommodate).
- Coordinate and communicate with professors to obtain exams and confirm testing arrangements.
- Prepare seating charts based on daily exam schedules.
- Seat students at designated times (9am 11am 1pm and 3pm).
- Monitor students during testing via closed-circuit cameras.
- Respond to phone calls and emails regarding testing-related questions testing from students and faculty.
- Scan and email completed exams back to professors.
- Follow established procedures when students are suspected of violating the Student Honor Code.
- Organize and implement special arrangements for students with accessibility needs including but not limited to: scribing screen readers voice recognition software closed captioning software and adaptive writing equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic IT issues related to theexam platforms devices and test session logistics.
- Maintain all testing records in Accommodate.
- Manage the group testing and individual testing rooms (32 seats) coordinating with the front desk to clean desks between sessions.
- Track testing data and share daily weekly and semester-end testing reports.
- Monitor inventory of testing supplies including scantrons scrap paper pens pencils and calculators and report items needed to office manager.
Daily Exam Administration
- Provide guidance on exam procedures resolve discrepancies in test materials and address routine questions.
- Collect verify and manage exam materials.
- Ensure proper testing room setup and maintenance.
- Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries.
- Collect and report exam data for ongoing evaluation and improvement.
Coordination of Final Exams
- Prepare and maintain a checklist for final exam procedures.
- Open final exam scheduling slots in Accommodate for students with disabilities.
- Develop and organize daily seating charts for finals.
- Print testing arrangements and exams in preparation for each day.
- Scan and return completed exams to faculty in a timely manner.
Academic Integrity and Exam Security
- Enforce all center policies and procedures during exam administration.
- Monitor testing rooms and enforce compliance with time limits academic integrity policies and exam instructions.
- Arrange seating to ensure proper supervision and reduce opportunities for academic misconduct.
Additional Duties
- Coordinate schedules and assign daily tasks for student employees working in the testing center.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Assistant Director of Disability Services during non-peak periods.
- Conduct intake and collaborative meetings with students to discuss accommodations and testing needs.
- Respond to phone and email inquiries from students and parents regarding the accommodations process.
- Represent the Camner Center at campus events including presentations marketing and tabling events and orientation sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or AA in education or communications preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in program and project coordination.
- Demonstrated experience in student services in an academic environment.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES (KSA):
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Accommodate Blackboard and other related software applications.
- Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
