Job Description
Work Location: Office Address 10311 WILSON RD BLYTHEWOOD SC% onsite through probationary period then option for Hybrid schedule. Local or regional location SC GA NC will be given priority.
THIS WILL BE A HYBRID ROLE ALLOWING THE CANDIDATE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR REMOTE WORK. THE INITIAL ENGAGEMENT WILL REQUIRE ON SITE TO WORK WITH SCDMV ENGINEERS AND BUSINESS SPECIALISTS IN A REAL-TIME DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE MODE. SCDMV EXPECTS THIS TO BE A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP. REGIONAL CANDIDATES WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY (SC GA NC).
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. ANALYZE THE SCDMV PHOENIX II WEB SERVICE AND BATCH BUSINESS APPLICATIONS
2. TAKE THE LEAD IN ANALYZING AND TROUBLE-SHOOTING ASSIGNED SYSTEM PROBLEMS
3. PROPOSE SOLUTIONS
4. CODE TEST PROMOTE AND INTERACT WITH IMPACTED USERS ENSURING THAT SOLUTION MEETS REQUIREMENTS.
5. PROVIDE DAILY AND WEEKLY STATUS TO THE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER.
Required Skills
1) 8 years of Development with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL in Windows Server 2019/2022 batch and under IIS.
2) 4 years of Development using Visual Studio 2019/2022 including the ability to use the debugger
3) 4 years of Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle SQL).
Preferred Skills
1) 5 of years Ability to write complex queries using SQL for Oracle and MS SQL DB.
2) 2 of years IIS configuration/setup
3) 1 of year Microsoft C# .NET
Required Education
BACHELORS DEGREE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY RELATED DISCIPLINE WITH 8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE OR MINIMUM 10 YEARS RELATED EXPERIENCE WITHOUT DEGREE.
Preferred Certifications
1. MS TECHNICAL CERTIFICATIONS WILL BE FACTORED IN THE SELECTION PROCESS.
2. MICROFOCUS CERTIFICATIONS ARE A SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
- Analyze the SCDMV Phoenix II Web Service and batch business applications
- Take the lead in analyzing and trouble-shooting assigned system problems
- Propose solutions
- Code test promote and interact with impacted users ensuring that solution meets requirements.
Provide daily and weekly status to the development manager.
Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):
- Development with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL in Windows Server 2019/2022 batch and under IIS.
- Development using Visual Studio 2019/2022 including the ability to use the debugger
Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle SQL).
Microfocus Certifications are a significant advantage
