The State of South Carolina is looking for Programmer - Consultant Why is this position open: This is a Rebid 36 month renewal but this will be a competitive interview process and open to interview new candidates Max Bill Rate: -/hour Will close to submissions on July 23 2025 at 5:00PM EST. Interview Process: Virtual Video interview using MS Teams will be used. In-person interviews may be requested by candidate. Duration of the Contract: 12 months Possibility for Extension: Yes Work Location: Office Address 10311 WILSON RD BLYTHEWOOD SC% onsite through probationary period then option for Hybrid schedule. Local or regional location SC GA NC will be given priority. THIS WILL BE A HYBRID ROLE ALLOWING THE CANDIDATE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR REMOTE WORK. THE INITIAL ENGAGEMENT WILL REQUIRE ON SITE TO WORK WITH SCDMV ENGINEERS AND BUSINESS SPECIALISTS IN A REAL-TIME DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE MODE. SCDMV EXPECTS THIS TO BE A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP. REGIONAL CANDIDATES WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY (SC GA NC). Key Roles and Responsibilities 1. ANALYZE THE SCDMV PHOENIX II WEB SERVICE AND BATCH BUSINESS APPLICATIONS 2. TAKE THE LEAD IN ANALYZING AND TROUBLE-SHOOTING ASSIGNED SYSTEM PROBLEMS 3. PROPOSE SOLUTIONS 4. CODE TEST PROMOTE AND INTERACT WITH IMPACTED USERS ENSURING THAT SOLUTION MEETS REQUIREMENTS. 5. PROVIDE DAILY AND WEEKLY STATUS TO THE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. Required Skills 1) 8 years of Development with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL in Windows Server 2019/2022 batch and under IIS. 2) 4 years of Development using Visual Studio 2019/2022 including the ability to use the debugger 3) 4 years of Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle SQL). Preferred Skills 1) 5 of years Ability to write complex queries using SQL for Oracle and MS SQL DB. 2) 2 of years IIS configuration/setup 3) 1 of year Microsoft C# .NET Required Education BACHELOR S DEGREE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY RELATED DISCIPLINE WITH 8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE OR MINIMUM 10 YEARS RELATED EXPERIENCE WITHOUT DEGREE.
