Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and competent professional who has relevant experience in this domain. The successful candidate will own a revenue portfolio and actively participate in business development. You are both a seasoned finance expert who doesn t mind rolling up their sleeves and an entrepreneur who wants to build a business. This is a unique opportunity to be on the partner/owner track and manage your P&L within a rapidly growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations and Reporting
- Lead the preparation and timely delivery of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheets income statements cash flows) in accordance with Indian accounting standards and MIS reporting.
- Supervise all accounting operations including Billing A/R A/P GL and Revenue Recognition.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Facilitate the Audit Process
- Facilitate the due diligence process and fund raise as and when required.
Tax Compliance and Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on Indian tax compliance matters (TDS GST etc.) and ensure timely compliance.
Budgeting Forecasting and Analysis
- Partner with the CFO to develop and manage comprehensive budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data identify trends and variances and provide actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Internal Controls Risk Management and Compliance
- Develop document and implement rigorous internal controls policies and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with Indian financial regulations reporting standards and relevant tax laws.
- Lead risk assessment processes and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
Team Management
- Supervise mentor and develop a team of bookkeepers and accountants.
Experience & Competencies
- Professional Credentials: CA (or equivalent) Mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles with demonstrable experience as a Finance Controller or similar management position at a global services provider company.
- Deep expertise and a strong understanding of Indian accounting principles.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP pivot tables financial modeling).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
- Strong problem-solver with the ability to analyze complex financial information and propose solutions.
