Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care to newborns and infants in the NICU.
- Conduct thorough assessments and monitor vital signs of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide support and education to families regarding newborn care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize advanced technology and equipment for patient monitoring.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations within the NICU.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions.
- Adhere to infection control standards and safety guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
- Assist with feeding and other daily care routines for infants.
- Educate parents on NICU processes care strategies and discharge planning.
- Monitor patient recovery and report changes to the medical team.
- Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure a safe environment.
- Provide emotional support to families during challenging times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Nursing license in India.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU or pediatric unit.
- Strong knowledge of neonatal standards of care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to assess and respond to changing patient conditions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Commitment to continued education and professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in nursing.
- Willingness to participate in training and certifications relevant to NICU care.
