Position: PGT Biology Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PGT Biology Teacher to join our team on-site in India. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to providing a high-quality learning experience that fosters student engagement and success in biology.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the school curriculum.
• Conduct interactive and informative biology classes for students at the upper secondary level.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through tests projects and assignments.
• Provide timely feedback to students and maintain records of their progress.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills through experimental and inquiry-based learning.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth.
• Communicate effectively with students parents and school administration.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the biology curriculum.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in biology education and integrate relevant topics into lessons.
• Plan and organize extracurricular activities related to biology including field trips and science fairs.
• Monitor and manage classroom behavior to ensure a respectful and productive learning experience.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students regarding their academic and career paths.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices.
• Contribute to the school community through involvement in meetings and committees.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Biology or a related field.
• Bachelors degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience as a PGT Biology Teacher or similar teaching role.
• Strong understanding of biology concepts and curriculum standards.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience in developing lesson plans and educational materials.
• Familiarity with assessment tools and student assessment strategies.
• Proficient in using educational technology and resources.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Creativity in lesson delivery and student engagement strategies.
