Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on various issues.
- Assist students in identifying and achieving personal social and academic goals.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students strengths needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with educators parents and other professionals to support student development.
- Organize workshops and training sessions on social skills and personal development.
- Guide students in career exploration and post-secondary education planning.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
- Promote a safe and welcoming school environment for all students.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices.
- Implement programs to address diversity and inclusion in the student body.
- Advocate for student needs and collaborate with community resources.
- Monitor students academic performance and provide necessary interventions.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to school policy development.
Qualifications:
- Master s degree in School Counseling or related field.
- Valid School Counseling certification/license in India.
- Previous experience in school counseling or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in using counseling software and tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of educational policies and guidelines.
- Experience in crisis counseling and intervention techniques.
- Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt counseling techniques to meet individual student needs.
- Passion for helping students succeed academically and personally.
