Job Summary
A leading plastics manufacturing company is seeking a Production Manager with strong expertise in plastic extrusion moulding and operational leadership. This role is critical in driving manufacturing excellence and delivering high-quality products to meet national demand.
Manage daily plastics production operations to achieve output cost and quality targets
Lead teams of supervisors and operators fostering a culture of safety and performance
Optimise production schedules to align with customer demand and inventory requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste enhance efficiency and lower costs
Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards
Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to minimise downtime and product defects
Report production performance metrics to senior management weekly
Requirements
Minimum 7 years experience in plastics manufacturing with exposure to extrusion blow moulding or injection moulding
Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional production teams
Proven ability to deliver production targets while driving quality and safety standards
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Plastics Engineering or related field
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
ERP system experience essential
